Mini Jars

You will never guess where I found these little jars on the left.
My dogs dug them up in the back yard. The dogs dig in the summer to find a nice cool place to nap. They are always digging up pieces of glass like plates and bowls or jars. Sometimes the jars are not broken . They are very dirty and I do clean them some but not much has you can see.
Now the jars on the right belong to my mom or grandmother. I am sure they set is a china cabinet somewhere at one time. But now they are hidden away in a kitchen cabinet. So sad don't you think?
The jar with the label still on it might not of been found in the yard. I think that one is just an old medicine bottle that got mixed in with the others.

Pecorlator or Coffeemaker?

What do you call it? Percolator, coffeepot or coffeemaker.
Last night my son's girlfriend was looking at an old cookbook and it had the recipe to make coffee in a percolator . She said what is a percolator. So I went and got one of mom's coffeepots. Thats what we call them and perked her some coffee. She says I have never seen anything like that before in my life. Boy now I know how old I am.

Gallon Milk Jug or Jar

Don't you miss the milk man? I do . I miss getting up and going out to get fresh milk and eggs or even butter at my front door. I wonder if I could start up a new business . Delivering milk door to door. Of course it would not be fresh from the dairy farm. I don't have any cows. I would have to go to Wal-mart buy some than bring it to you. That might not work. There would be to big of a mark-up in the price. LOL!
Here is one of my mom's old milk jugs or maybe my grandma's or aunt Lucille's. She had a dairy farm way back in the Missouri woods. We would go for a visit and have to draw water from a well and us the outhouse. If it rained the creek would rise and we were stuck. No getting across that creek. My uncle David also had a dairy farm. I think he always had a bathroom. But not my aunt Velma her outhouse was down a steep hill and one wrong step and down you went. No need to use the outhouse after that fall.
And I don't know anything about the little glass boot except it is so cute. If you would like to buy anything on this page just let me know. Make me an offer I can't refuse. Have a great day.

Cleaning House

I am cleaning house. Mom and Dad have collected so many things over the years that there house is full. I have been giving kids , grand kids , aunts and uncles stuff of mom and dad's for years trying to clean up a little and also keeping things in the family . But it never seems to end. So I decided to try my hand at selling and since I love blogging I thought I would mix the two things together .
Mom and Grandma loved to can stuff out of the garden . We used to have the best bread and butter pickles every year. Now I am left with lots of canning jars. Some are very old. Hear are few. If you would like to buy one or anything else on the site just comment or  send me a massage and make an offer. Thanks.
